RiceBLAST: Rice sequence database BLAST search

RiceBLAST is the search service only for rice(oryza sativa) sequence database using BLAST.

The rice genome databases are collected by RiceGAAS and include unfinished high throughput genomic sequences (phases 0, 1 and 2), finished phase 3 sequences, chloroplast, and mitochondrial DNA.

All databases are available at ftp://ftp.dna.affrc.go.jp/pub/Rice_Seq_DB/.


  • Graphical BLAST- Providing a graphical interface can show useful information as follows:

  • All Rice Genome Database
    All rice genome sequences collected from the GenBank ftp server. See README.txt for more detail.

  • Rice Genome Database - japonica
    Japonica subset database classified according to "/organism" or "/sub_species" in GenBank flat file.
    Provides cross reference links from the BLAST results to INE.
    ID which does not exist in INE is also contained in the BLAST results.

  • Rice Genome Database - indica
    Indica subset database classified according to "/organism" or "/sub_species" in GenBank flat file.

  • Oryza sativa chromosome 1, complete sequence
    Oryza sativa (japonica) genomic DNA, chromosome 1 complete sequence ( BA000010 ).
    Provides cross reference links from the BLAST results to INE.

  • RGP EST Database
    Oryza sativa (japonica) EST database, submitted to DDBJ by Rice Genome Research Program.
    65,313 sequences; 27,294,716 total letters.

  • Chloroplast Genome | Mitochondrial DNA

  • Oryza sativa EST Database [SRS keyword search]
    Oryza sativa EST database collected from EST division of DDBJ regular release , include RGP EST database.

  • Oryza sativa CDS(mRNA/DNA) Database [SRS keyword search]
    Oryza sativa CDS database collected from PLN/HTC/PAT/GSS division of DDBJ regular release , include rice full-length cDNA database.

    Oryza Database: collected sequences with oryza as source from of DDBJ/NCBI/EMBL regular releases and daily updates
